Subject Hello Dolly!
Location Kootenay lake
Method Trolling
Species Dolly Varden
Comments The first time I saw a Reel Pearl lure, it was flashing and snaking its way through the shallow water at the Sportsmen & Boat Show in Edmonton. I called my wife over to see the lureís action, and then I told her I simply had to have that lure! I bought two: sizes #2 and #5. I tried #2 first, and at 3 p.m. on a sunny afternoon in early July, as I trolled over a 40í ledge in 250í of water at Kootenay Lake in B.C., my rod doubled over. I thought it was going to jump out of the rod holder. I landed it though after telling my wife, who was manning the net, that it was either the fish in the boat or her in the water! 7? pounds of Dolly Vardenóa great fish to baptize my new lure. I later caught a handsome 19î rainbow on the same lure. I canít imagine what'll happen when I try the big #5!
